Throwball Federation Canada Successfully Hosts Women’s National 2nd Championship in Mississauga

Mississauga, ON – May 9, 2026 — The Throwball Federation Canada successfully hosted the Women’s National 2nd Championship Throwball Tournament at École Sainte-Famille, bringing together talented women athletes, enthusiastic supporters, and members of the community for a thrilling day of competition and sportsmanship.

The tournament featured a series of energetic and highly competitive matches, reflecting the growing popularity of throwball across Canada. Teams delivered impressive performances throughout the championship, showcasing strong coordination, teamwork, and determination.

After an outstanding display of skill, Super Sonics emerged as the tournament champions, maintaining consistency and dominance across all matches. GTA Fireball secured the runner-up position after a closely contested and exciting final, while Sauga Strikers earned the bronze medal with a strong and spirited performance.

The championship highlighted the federation’s continued commitment to promoting women’s participation in sports and strengthening the throwball community across the nation.

The event was attended by key officials from the federation, including Founder Malarselvi Jayaraman, President Alimamy Kabba, and Treasurer Pushparaj, who congratulated all participating teams and praised the athletes for their dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The matches were officiated by referees Saaketh Rajagopalan, Prathipan Chandrasekar, and Deepak, whose efforts ensured fair play and smooth conduct throughout the tournament.

The championship concluded with a prize distribution ceremony celebrating the achievements of the winning teams and recognizing the valuable contributions of organizers, volunteers, and officials.
